Lions at Kwa-Mbili Dam

Last evening the Monwana Pride of Lions were at Kwa-Mbili Dam. It was amazing to watch them from our thatched bird hide. They lounged by the side of the dam for a bit, then began walking closer to camp.

Andries, our Tracker, was able to determine that they were hunting as they walked right by two of our Safari Tents! Based on his experience, he figured that they were stalking the male nyala that have been eating up all our flowers by the chalets. Although we live here in the bush, you never get used to the excitement of seeing these beautiful predators in action.
